- Currently involved in
- 1. High pressure research involving the study of phase transitions in rare sesquioxides under the application of pressure in a diamond anvil cell. The transitions are studied by in-situ laser Raman spectroscopy.
2. Currently maintaining the National Pneumatic pressure standards which involves primary as well as secondary standards. The standards are basically dead weight testers with traceability to the ultrasonic interferometer. The pneumatic pressure has capability upto 400 bar or 40 MPa. - Honours and Award:
- 1. Asia-Pacific Metrology Program’s (APMP) Iizuka Award from Japan for Young Scientists in 2004
2. CSIR Young Scientist Award for Physical Sciences, 2001
3. Young Research Award for best oral presentation at IUMRS-International Conference in Asia, 1998, IISc Bangalore - Any other information:
