Current Activity:

  • Preparation of Indian Reference Materials (Bharatiya Nirdeshak Dravya (BND)) for the calibration of Powder X-ray diffraction instruments (Alpha Alumina, Lanthanum Hexaboride, Alpha Quartz, Si etc)
  • Preparation of nanomaterials by microwave and autoclave methods.
  • Growth of defect free single crystals of pure and doped Lithium Niobate (LN) and Bismuth Germanium Oxide (BGO) by Czochralski technique (using RF and resistive heating) for SHG and detector applications.
  • Growth of Alkali halides and variety of inorganic, organic & semiorganic NLO materials by Solution and low temperature melt growth techniques.
  • Growth of thermoelectric single crystals by vertical Bridgman technique
  • Growth of technologically important single crystals by unidirectional solution growth and seed rotation techniques.
