Network, Server Infrastructure & Cybersecurity(NSIC) section provides Network services, Servers infrastructure and cybersecurity to the organization. It continuously strives to enhance modernize IT infrastructure in the lab.

Being the scientific support section of CSIR-NPL, NSIC serves the NPL community with vide range of services like Computing & Network service.

In addition, NSIC configures and manages:

• National Knowledge Network (NKN) internet connectivity of 1 Gbps.
• Implementation & regular maintenance of the institutional GOI biometrics attendance system.
• Data Center with in-house set up, configuration and system administration of Linux based servers to facilitate IT services.
• Cyber security solutions including a Next Generation Firewall(NGFW) system for firewall solutions.
• IT support for implementation of Time dissemination of “Indian Standard Time” (IST) Project. (Maintained by CSIR-NPL)
• CSIR-NPL website (https://www.nplindia.in) on Internet, in collaboration with LWS Section.
